HOW TO MAKE A DOCTORS APPOINTMENT
Please telephone the surgery on 01685 811999 at 8.00am for appointments to be seen on the same day by Doctor or Nurse Practitioner. In the event of an acute emergency a doctor / nurse will be available for advice up to 6.30 pm.
Pre-booked Appointments - If you wish to make a pre-booked appointment, we will always endeavour to make it with your usual GP to promote continuity of care, however this may be up to four weeks in advance.
Children under 16 years of age - Children can become acutely unwell very rapidly so we will prioritise them. Please help us to look after you appropriately by giving us a clear description of your child's illness so that we can allocate a suitable appointment. This may mean you are offered an appointment to bring your child down at short notice. Please ensure you are able to do this if you are asked.
Adults - Our team will ask for a brief description of your illness so that we can allocate you to the most appropriate member of the team, this may not always be a doctor.
If your symptoms are are indicative of stroke, heart attack or a medical emergency then you may be re-directed to A&E or 999. If we advise you to attend either A&E or call 999 please take our advice. We know the worry and inconvenience this can cause but we are not an emergency service and do not have the facilities that hospitals have.
If we redirect you, its because waiting for a GP appointment could be significant to your outcome.
